Kęstutis Mosakas is the research assistant of the Research Cluster for Applied Ethics and a PhD student in philosophy at Vytautas Magnus university. BA in English philology (2013) and MA in Practical Philosophy (2017) from Vytautas Magnus university.

 

His main research interests include meta-ethics, applied ethics, and philosophy of religion. His PhD thesis will attempt to explore the problematic relationship between morality and artificially intelligent beings. The main goals of the thesis are to thoroughly assess the arguments for and against the claim that intelligent machines should possess moral and/or legal rights, as well as to consider some of the necessary prerequisites that would allow the artificially intelligent beings to enter the moral dimension.
