Congratulations to our member of the RCAE, Vladislav Fomin, for the "Distinguished Professor Award" granted by Vilnius University. He is only one of three scholars in Lithuania to have received this outstanding award.

We are very happy to inform you about our new international collaboration partner. The Academia Kantiana, a sub-unit of the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University, in Kaliningrad (Russia) and our RCAE agreed to collaborate on topics related to Kant and Applied Ethics.

We are happy to announce that our Research Cluster together with colleagues from the Faculty of Law and Informatics received a major grant, 600.000 € (for 4 years), for the research project "Integrity Study of Future Law, Ethics, and Smart Technologies" from the Research Council of Lithuania. The current project members are: John-Stewart Gordon (principal investigator), Paulius Astromskis (responsible for the drafting of the proposal), Vlad Formin, Edita Gruodyte, Kestutis Mosakas, Julija Kirsiene, Darius Amilevicius, Aušrinė Pasvenskienė, and Milda Zaliauskaite.

New Book Series "Philosophy and Human Rights" at Brill. The new series provides a venue for outstanding scholarship on contemporary and newly emerging issues in the context of human rights theory and practice in philosophy. The series favors monographs on human rights that work at the cutting edge of ethics/moral philosophy, social- and political philosophy, and law. Prof. Dr. John-Stewart Gordon is the general editor of the book series.

Our next workshop is devoted to promote PhD students from all faculties who work on issues related to applied ethics and philosophy.
